Courage 2 Connect: Suicide Prevention Among Topics Featured at Governor’s Symposium for Veterans Services
Courage2Connect is the theme of the 2021 Governor’s Symposium for Veterans Services, which will be held in Norman, Oklahoma, November 15-16. Suicide prevention is among the topics to be discussed.
The Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs invites you to register for the 2021 Governor’s Symposium. The event will be held November 15-16 at the Norman Armed Forces Reserve Center (AFRC), 4000 Thunderbird Street, Norman, OK 73069.
The symposium will feature keynote and breakout speakers discussing topics such as:
- Suicide Prevention
- Lethal Means Safety
- Women Veterans
- Native Veterans
- Crisis Care and Management Best Practices
- Employment, Education
- Much more
Talk Saves Lives Training
In addition, there will be special sessions on Veteran Agriculture as a means for Employment and Mental Health, and the release of OKVALOR, the Oklahoma’s Veterans Assistance Locator. Finally, ODVA will provide Talk Saves Lives training to those interested in suicide prevention training.
