What Is Hill Day?
The Virtual Policy Institute Returns for 2022
In 2020, the National Council for Mental Wellbeing introduced their first Virtual Policy Institute, a four-hour learning event offering keynote speakers, legislative updates, immersive breakout sessions and more. Across 2020 and 2021’s events, more than 3,300+ attendees from all 50 states and 29 partner organizations united online in support of mental health.
Why Does Hill Day Matter
According to the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, when we speak to Congress with one unified voice, we can make a lasting impact in the lives of those living with mental health and substance use challenges. When we come together to champion the interests of people in the U.S. living with mental health and/or substance use challenges, it’s a chance to speak directly with the officials you voted into office. It’s an opportunity to influence or persuade our elected officials to support critically important legislation that will help improve access to comprehensive health care for those who need it most.
